ATLANTA Harris Ideas has been tapped by All Florida Hospitality Management to develop a marketing campaign for seven of its properties. Three Broward County properties, two in Orlando as well as others in St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island will be promoted.

Stan Harris, president of the Plantation, Fla., shop, said that because the travel industry has changed, marketers must be more creative with advertising programs. “Travelers are more savvy and likely to book travel at the last minute,” Harris said. “Harris Ideas understands this mind-set and will develop a campaign with unexpected ideas.”

“Conventional marketing alone just doesn’t work anymore,” said Phil Goldfarb, president of AFHM. His goal is to attract tourists to the Florida destinations. AFHM operates more than 10 hotel properties, resorts and convention centers in the state of Florida.

Neither media nor spending for the marketing campaign was undisclosed.

Harris Ideas also has added a new member to its marketing team. Susan Rudolph Stallone has joined the agency as idea maker. Previously, Stallone has worked as account director at Bates and Foote, Cone and Belding, both in New York. She also launched a consultancy, SRS Marketing Consultants, where she worked on accounts such as Arizona Ice Tea and Nantucket Nectars.
