Fairfield Resorts Picks Maverick Advertising

DALLAS Maverick Advertising and Public Relations has been awarded the ad account of Fairfield Resorts, the shop said.

The Fort Worth, Texas, agency won the account of the Orlando, Fla.-based resort chain in an informal review with undisclosed contenders. There was no incumbent.

Shop vice president Jake Yarbrough said the client was impressed with work Maverick had done for the Santa Fe Convention and Visitors Bureau.

"They liked several of our concepts and ideas," Yarbrough said. "I think through that work they understood we would be able to connect with their main demographic, which is women between the ages of 35-45."

Maverick's first work for the shop will be a national print campaign breaking in March. Yarbrough said it would showcase the many unique travel destinations and activities available through the more than 40 properties of Fairfield Resorts.

"I think we're a good match for one another," Yarbrough said. "Fairfield adds a real strong base to our hospitality travel and tourism group."

The shop's other clients include Del Lago Resort & Conference Center, Doral Tesoro Hotel and Golf Club, Fairmont Hotels, La Mansion del Rio, Loews Hotels, New Orleans Boutique Hotels, Shangri La Resort and The Worthington Hotel.

Billings are undisclosed.
