NEW YORK Euro RSCG has hired Michael Fanuele as managing director of strategy at its New York office, a new position, effective immediately.

Fanuele was most recently chief strategic officer of New York-based agency Walrus, which he also co-founded. That shop’s accounts include The Economist, Major League Baseball, Grand Marnier and radio personality Howard Stern.

Last year, Havas-owned Euro RSCG created the ad campaign announcing Stern’s move to Sirius Satellite Radio.

Fanuele, 34, will work closely with managing director of strategy Don Hogle to manage a department of 30 staffers.
