ESPN, Under Armour Sign Deal

NEW YORK Under Armour Performance Apparel has signed a three-year deal with ESPN under which the company will serve as co-presenting sponsor of the 2004, 2005 and 2006 ESPYs and introduce a co-sponsorship honor: the Under Armour “Undeniable Performance” Award. Financial terms were not released.

An online element will allow fans to choose the most outstanding “undeniable performance” in all of sports from five events over the past year.

The 12th annual ESPY Awards, to be hosted by actor and comedian Jamie Foxx, will be taped on July 14 at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre and air on Sunday, July 18.
