El Pollo Loco Turns to Krueger

Krueger, which came up short in last year’s review for El Pollo Loco’s advertising account, was awarded the $7 million business last week after WPP’s Young & Rubicam resigned it, the client said. The Torrance, Calif., independent plans to launch a new campaign for the Irvine, Calif.-based chicken chain in May. A Y&R rep said the shop gave up the business in a reallocation of agency resources.
