Edelman Public Relations has acquired The Headline Group.
New York-based Edelman will move its Atlanta staff to THG’s midtown offices here. Billings for the combined venture, operating as Edelman, are$5 million. Financial terms were not disclosed.
THG president Claudia Gaines Patton, now executive vice president and general manager, said she had been actively looking for a buyer. “We’ve been 20 years building an Atlanta market,” she said. “But a lot of our clients have been growing on the global stage and we want to remain with them.”
