Rapp Collins Worldwide is converting its office here from full-service to one that will offer regional support.

As part of that move, six of the shop’s 40 employees were laid off last week with additional layoffs expected in the weeks to come, a representative for the Omnicom Group unit said.

The office’s clients include Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., United Parcel Service and Western Union.

Rapp Collins Chicago president Ian Baer declined to comment on the downsizing. It was unclear if Baer would remain at the agency.
