DALLAS Just seven months after leaving 7-Eleven to become president of video game retailer GameStop, Joseph M. DePinto is returning as president and CEO under the convenience store chain’s new ownership.
DePinto, 43, will replace Jim Keyes, who is retiring. DePinto will report to Toshifumi Suzuki, chairman and CEO of 7-Eleven Japan. Earlier this month, 7-Eleven Japan acquired 100 percent of Dallas-based 7-Eleven.
“He knows our business and strategies well, and we are pleased that he is returning to 7-Eleven,” said Suzuki, who has served as temporary CEO pending DePinto’s arrival.
