CHICAGO Award-winning creative Michael Davis is joining Draft as vice president and director of emerging media, a new position.
Davis, 39, joins the Chicago shop from his production company, which he launched in the mid-1990s to serve the advertising community.
In his new post, Davis will help the agency develop creative strategies for broadcast and digital media, the Internet and print. He will collaborate in three areas within Draft's creative department: new business development, emerging marketing channels and commercial production.
He reports to Kathy Bucaro-Zobens, senior executive vice president and executive creative director.
Davis has won nine Emmy awards for producing short films and commercials. He began his career at NBC News and then moved to PBS. He is credited with helping Draft win the Chicago Mercantile Exchange account in early 2003.
