NEW YORK Interactive shop New Media Gateway has expanded its design and general advertising capabilities by teaming with Holt Design.
As a part of the partnership, Holt Design will become the design arm of NMG. The new division, called HD Creative, will serve NMG's clients who require design and print advertising. In return, NMG will offer Holt's clients digital services.
The goal of the marriage is to provide clients with one strategic and creative resource to "take the branding lead, the graphic lead, the interactive lead, the programming lead and the advertising lead," said Tim Storer, president of NMG.
Already, NMG has developed the Web site, e-mail campaign and database programs for The Dallas Symphony Orchestra, one of Holt Design's accounts. And Holt Design's seven staffers have joined NMG's 40 employees in the latter's Dallas headquarters.
Storer and Edwin Holt, president of Holt Design, will continue in their respective roles.
Last year, NMG claimed $7 million in billings from clients like EDS, Kellogg's, ExxonMobil, Nokia and Merrill Lynch. Holt Design claimed $3 million in billings from accounts like the Dallas Cowboys, American Airlines and The Louisiana Philharmonic.
