Career Sports Management has appointed Evan Appel vice president of strategic development. He will work with the Atlanta shop’s clients, providing strategic business consulting, analysis and negotiation on sports and entertainment-related transactions. He also will assist college athletic departments and conferences on revenue-related issues. Prior to joining CSM, Appel was a partner and vice chairman of Atlanta-based McKenna Long & Aldridge, a sports and entertainment law firm, where he represented sports and entertainment clients in the areas of broadcast, Internet and other new media, sponsorship, event management, licensing and coaching activities.
