DALLAS Former Brouillard Communications svp and director of client services Katie Mullins has joined Como Advertising as a principal and part owner, the agency said.

Mullins, who has worked on campaigns for clients such as Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, Verizon Wireless, Chevron, Minute Maid and ConocoPhillips, will manage several key accounts and lead new-business efforts at Houston-based Como, the shop said.

Fluent in Spanish, Mullins also has worked in Mexico, Chile, Spain and Puerto Rico, according to the agency.

"After spending only five minutes in a meeting with her, we knew why she is so well respected by her clients," said Como principal Gregg Steward.

Como, a full-service independent advertising agency, is jointly led by senior professionals in both account management and creative.

Mullins worked at Brouillard in Houston, formerly Bates Southwest, for nine years. Before that, she worked at Ogilvy & Mather, Taylor Brown, Della Femina and Rives Carlberg. She earned a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University.
