DETROIT-Citizens Banking Corp. is in the final stages of reviewing its $2-5 million account, said Karen Magidsohn, senior vice president and marketing director of the Flint, Mich.-based bank holding company.
Stone & Simons Advertising, Southfield, Mich., the company's agency since 1993, is not in the review. "We just felt it was time for a change," Magidsohn said. Citizens is talking mainly to agencies in the Midwest and expects to enter the final phase of the review shortly, she said.
The third-largest bank holding company in Michigan, Citizens has banks in suburban Chicago and is in the process of acquiring a holding company in Wisconsin, which will bring its assets to $7 billion, she said. Advertising covers TV, print, radio and outdoor, with an increased emphasis on direct. -Tanya Irwi
