This year’s Chick-fil-A Charity Championship, hosted by Ladies Professional Golf Association Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez, generated a record $604,000, a 20 percent increase over the1999 event.

As they say in Acworth, Ga., that ain’t just chicken feed.

The money will go to WinShape Homes, a foster care facility, and Adventures in Movement for the Handicapped (AMH).

The Atlanta golf tournament broughtthe charitable dollars raised by the LPGA to more than $2 million since Chick-fil-A became a signature sponsorin 1995.
