ATLANTA Laughlin, Marinaccio & Owens said it has been tapped to handle advertising and branding for start-up Changing Planet.
The Arlington, Va., client, a nonprofit organization in the process of building a museum and conference center, has hired the agency to develop corporate identity and fundraising materials, marketing collateral and advertising. There was no formal review.
According to agency chief Doug Laughlin, the Arlington shop's recent work for the Delaware Transit Corp. caught the attention of Mark Schaefer, chairman of Changing Planet's board of directors and president of Nature Serve, a conservation organization.
"In addition to general skill, LM&O's understanding of environmental issues and commitment to Arlington County make them a perfect partner," said Schaefer.
Laughlin said Changing Planet hopes to make use of the Roslyn, Va., venue vacated by the Freedom Forum's Newseum, which is moving to a new facility in Washington, D.C.
Billings are undisclosed.
