Causing a Stir

A billboard for Time magazine on New York’s West Side highway has been stopping traffic—literally. Cars have been slowing down blocks before its 125th St. location to see the billboard (the start of an outdoor campaign for the publication), which shows a photo of John Kerry and George Bush with a red Time border swinging pendulum-like between their faces. Even Ari Merkin, creative director at Fallon in New York, which created the ad, was stuck in traffic as people slowed down to see the pendulum swing back and forth.
