DETROIT Campbell-Ewald has been chosen to create a public service campaign promoting FirstGov.gov, the informational Web site of the General Services Administration's Federal Citizen Information Center (FCIC).
The Warren, Mich., agency will create print, TV and newspaper PSAs touting the Internet venue. The site is part of the electronic government initiative, commonly known as e-Gov, which was launched last April to make it easier for citizens to interact with federal government agencies via the Internet.
In years past, the public has communicated with the FCIC by writing the agency at "Pueblo, Colorado 81009," said Anthony J. Hopp, chairman and chief executive officer of the Interpublic Group agency. "We are eager to use our creative resources to make FirstGov.gov a household name, much like Pueblo, Colorado, has been in recent years."
The FCIC provides citizens with information on federal offices, agencies and departments, as well as many consumer and trade organizations.
