True North Communications has two heavy hitters lined up for its board of directors, elections for which will occur at the holding company’s May 26 shareholders’ meeting.
Joseph Califano Jr., Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare in the Carter Administration; and H. John Greeniaus, former chairman and chief executive officer of Nabisco Inc., will both stand for election.
Califano is currently chairman of the board and president of The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University.
Greeniaus is president of a consulting firm, and is familiar with TN agency Foote, Cone & Belding, which counts Nabisco among its accounts.
