Broadcom Begins Search for First Agency

LOS ANGELES Broadcom Corp. has launched a review for an agency to handle its account, confirmed Select Resources International, which is leading the search.

The client, which provides technologies and products that enable broadband communications and networking of voice, video and data, has not previously worked with an agency.

Billings were undisclosed. Broadcom had $1 million in business-to-business media expenditures in 2002, according to CMR.

Requests for proposals were issued this week, sources said. The client in Irvine, Calif.,
