Publicis Groupe's Starcom USA in Chicago has named group client leader Chris Boothe an executive vice president. A 17-year veteran of the agency, Boothe leads the Miller Brewing, Cannon and Gap accounts. He also recently added oversight of the shop's broadband-video and sports-broadcast activities to his responsibilities. Boothe oversaw Miller's participation in the ESPN Short Films program, as well as media planning and buying for Miller's presidential effort (which saw the brewer trying to become "The president of beers"). He also played an integral role in the development of Miller's "talking billboard" outside Wrigley Field in Chicago, which changed messages regularly to address ongoing team issues. In addition, Boothe served one year as an interim regional director of Starcom Worldwide's Latin American operations in 1997. He graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in mass communications.
