Birmingham Bank Names 4 Finalists In Creative Review

Four finalists have emerged in the review for AmSouth Bancorporation's creative account.

The Birmingham, Ala.-based bank will hear presentations from Atlanta's Austin Kelley Advertising and Ames Scullin O'Haire, Cramer-Krasselt of Orlando, Fla., and Luckie & Co. in Birmingham. Rod Hanlon of Wanamaker Associates in Atlanta is conducting the review.

Total billings are $18 million. Initiative Media in Atlanta won the buying and planning portion of the business last year.

AmSouth wants an agency with retail experience that can extend marketing developed by Slaughter Hanson, according to the client.The Birmingham incumbent was responsible for branding and promoting the bank as "The relationship people."
