Mangan Holcomb Rainwater Culpepper didn't have a big gala to commemorate its 30th birthday earlier this month. Instead, the Little Rock, Ark., agency has opted for a different kind of celebration that benefits not just its 30 employees, but the entire community as well.

The company has decided to give its employees a day off work tomorrow, July 30. But staffers won't be at the Clinton Presidential Library or the McCain Mall; instead, each has been encouraged to spend the day volunteering for a good cause. Agency personnel will then share theirexperiences over pancakes on Wednesday.

"We spent a lot of time thinking about a 30th anniversary party," said agency president Steve Holcomb, "and convinced ourselves that the best way tocelebrate was to do something for the community that played a key role in our success."
