ATLANTA Sawyer Riley Compton has won a review for the Bernhardt Furniture account, the shop said.
The independent Atlanta shop bested several other undisclosed agencies for the account. The incumbent, The Richards Group in Dallas, did not defend.
Billings were not disclosed, but the Lenoir, N.C., furniture manufacturer spent $4 million on advertising in 2004, according to TNS Media Intelligence.
SRC will provide creative work for all of the company's residential furniture advertising. Bernhardt will keep media planning and buying internal. Previously, Richards provided both.
The first ads are scheduled to launch nationally in the September issues of magazines such as Traditional Home, O at Home, House Beautiful and House & Garden. The ads will continue through spring 2006.
SRC was a finalist in the company's previous agency review several years ago.
Separately, departed SRC creative director Bart Cleveland has been replaced with Brett Compton, who was associate creative director under Cleveland and is the son of the shop's chairman, Frank Compton.
