BE&P Increases Workout for 24 Hour Fitness

CHICAGO Independent agency Barkley Evergreen & Partners has added an additional brand advertising project from 24 Hour Fitness, according to the shop.

After picking up customer insight management duties last year, the Kansas City, Mo., shop has acquired an additional assignment to work on creative and brand development for the fitness chain, said agency CEO Brian Brooker.

"We are pleased about our new partnership with 24 Hour Fitness," said Brooker in a statement. "We strive to make brands irreplaceable, and this assignment gives us the opportunity to work with a brand that we are passionate about."

As part of the assignment, the shop will work in partnership with other agencies on the San Ramon, Calif., company's roster. The client's last known lead agency was Publicis & Hal Riney, though Brooker said the chain is looking to draw upon a roster of shops for advertising.

Billings for the assignment were not disclosed. The company, which operates more than 350 clubs in 16 states and in four Asian countries, spent $18 million on advertising last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
