RIO DE JANEIRO - Almap/BBDO is accusing W/Brasil of plagiarism in the latter's Fiat Uno commercials featuring scenes of everyday Brazilian life and has asked the country's National Committee for Self-Regulation of Advertising to pull the spots. 'This is my campaign,' said Almap cd Nicolla Raggio, 'and it has won many prizes here for (Volkswagen) some five years ago.' 'Not so,' W/Brasil's Wahington Olivetto retorted. 'It's a funny claim for Almap to make, because now it's Fiat's Uno that occupies the place in people's hearts that once belonged to VW's Beetle.'
