TEXAS
KWGC Advertising & Design, Dallas, was granted two Marketing WAVE awards from the Personal Communications Industry Association at the September PCS '97 show in Dallas. KWGC received first place in the promotional/educational video category for Motorola as well as a third-place award for the client in the direct mail category.
Rosenberg Advertising in Dallas named Derek Fuller account executive. Fuller was previously an account manager at BSA Advertising, also in Dallas.
KEGL-FM, Dallas, hired Drew Hilles as general sales manager and Greg Stevens as program director.
Ross Crystal was appointed executive producer at Metro Networks, Houston. He arrives from Metro, Los Angeles.
NourzAds, Elgin, will provide pro bono services to the Family Crisis Center, Bastrop, including television, print and radio ads. The center provides rape crisis counseling and child abuse intervention and counseling services.
Harrison Creative Direction, Dallas, launched a new series of TV spots for client ColorTyme, a rent-to-own chain based in Irving. The ads introduce the new themeline, "Where the best things in life are for lease."
Ward Creative Communications in Houston won two awards of excellence in the IABC District 5 Silver Quill competition. Both winning entries were produced for the YMCA of Greater Houston.
Eric Radde joined the staff of Stuart Bacon, Fort Worth, as associate creative director. His responsibilities will include management duties in the shop's six-member creative department, creative strategy and participation in business development activities. Radde previously worked as creative director at William-son-Dickie, also in Fort Worth.
Witherspoon & Associates, Fort Worth, has designed the logo and promotional collateral materials for Mayfest, an annual arts festival in Fort Worth.
Fellers & Co., Austin, promoted Bennett Spelce to chief financial officer. He has been with Fellers for six years.
The Bagwell Agency, Dallas, promoted Ann LaCour to vice president and senior account executive and Diane Pierce to vice president and controller. Both executives joined the agency in 1995.
Camille Stout moved to GibbsBaronet, Dallas, as account executive. She previously was a partner at Atomic Casting in Dallas and a senior account executive with Publicis/Bloom, also in Dallas.
Jennifer Gorski was named traffic manager at R.J. Kolar Advertising and Marketing, Austin, handling clients such as 3M, Schlotzky's, Jack Brown Cleaners, PPD Pharmaco and Tokyo Electron America. She held a similar post at SicolaMartin in Austin.
Amy Lowe joined The Balcom Agency, Fort Worth, as an account executive. She will work on the company's pharmaceutical accounts.
TKO, Austin, was awarded the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau tourism advertising account, estimated at $500,000-800,000 annually in billings. TKO, the incumbent on the business, will promote more of the city's landmarks and youth-oriented lifestyle.
McGarrah/Jessee, Austin, created two new 30-second spots playing up the Texas heritage of client Frost Bank, San Antonio. The ads are taglined, "We're from here."
Business Video Networks, Houston, has acquired in-house non-linear editing capabilities. The company creates video programs for clients including Compaq Computer Corp., Houston.

The Communications Group, Little Rock, hired Lisa Block as public relations specialist for clients such as ARKids First health insurance program. She was previously marketing coordinator for Arkansas Children's Hospital, also in Little Rock.
LOUISIANA
Melissa Martin was promoted to media director serving national accounts, including Ruth's Chris Steak House, at Duke Unlimited in Metairie. Prior to joining Duke Unlimited in 1995, Martin was a media supervisor at The Graham Group in New Orleans.
NEW MEXICO
Mark Fitch was named vice president of marketing and sales at LightPath Technologies in Albuquerque.
Ford Motor Co., Dearborn, Mich., has hired Wright Edge, an automotive ad agency in Albuquerque, to conduct advertising workshops for Ford dealers in the Cincinnati area.
OKLAHOMA
Tom Womack was hired as a copywriter at the Oklahoma City office of Fellers & Co. Previously, Womack was working as a freelancer in Dallas.
United Video Satellite Group, Tulsa, named Pam McKissick to the newly created post of senior vice president of marketing at its Prevue Networks subsidiary. She brings experience as director of creative services for Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., and was also vice president and director of creative services for William Cook Advertising in Jacksonville, Fla.
Margaret Butler, an executive vice president of Butler & Butler Advertising in Tulsa, was included in the first edition of Who's Who in the Media and Communications 1998-99, according to the agency.
Three veterans of the Tulsa ad community, Jon Hibblen, Steve Kennedy and Chris Hernandez, have formed HKH Advertising. HKH is a full-service advertising, marketing communications and graphic design company serving healthcare, real estate, retail, sporting goods and industrial clients.
