GEORGIA
Atlanta director Bill VanDerKloot won his second consecutive International Monitor Award as best director in children's programming. He won for his production, The Big Submarine.
The National Park Service has contracted InterWeb Inc. in Atlanta to create a series of Web pages for its Golden Crescent region. The area incorporates portions of Georgia and Florida.
NORTH CAROLINA
The Business Marketing Association's Carolinas Chapter, based in Charlotte, was named 1996-97 Chapter of the Year in its division at BMA's annual meeting earlier this year.
Saholsky & Sinclair Advertising, Marketing & Design in Raleigh has changed its name to Sinclair/Pepper Advertising. The change recognizes the addition of principal Kathryn Pepper, who joined the agency in early 1996.
Print Magazine has selected work created by Elberson Senger Shuler, Charlotte, to appear in its Regional Design Annual 1997. The work displayed was created for agency clients Consolidated Theatres and Ford Foods.

Davis Newman Payne Advertising in Knoxville won a silver Telly Award for a television spot for CooperTools. The commercial won in the household/packaged-goods category.
Lindsey Bradley & Maloy in Chattanooga has added Mutual Media Fund of Memphis as a new client.
Health Communications of Memphis recently won three medals at the 14th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. The agency won a gold and a silver for Eye Health Network and a bronze for Wright Medical Technology's Advantim Total Knee System.
VIRGINIA
MSI Advertising¥Marketing¥Public Rela-tions of Richmond was named a national winner in the Silver Microphone competition. MSI was cited for a radio commercial it created for the Greater Richmond Transit Co.
Alexandria-based Kershner & Co. received a National Easter Seal EDI Award for a public service announcement the agency created for the Special Olympics. The EDI Awards recognize efforts to further public understanding of disability issues.
WASHINGTON, D.C.
Goldberg.Marchesano.Partners was named agency to handle a circulation building project for The Record newspaper in Hackensack, N.J. Separately, the agency has formed a new media division, ElectCom. The venture will be headed by senior vice president Richard Wagner, who has managed the development of interactive projects, CD-ROMs and Web sites for current GMP clients.
Strategic Alliances Group has launched a sports communications division aimed at helping professional athletes and coaches enhance their relationships with their communities. The new division will be headed by Mark Dyce.
