Omnicom global public relations network Bro deur acquired independent high-tech public relations shop FitzGerald Communications; terms were not disclosed. Boston-based FitzGerald, which employs about 110 staffers, will be run as a wholly owned subsidiary of Brodeur, which is also based in Boston, and remain under operational control of chief executive Maura FitzGerald. Omnicom is based in New York.

Zona Design designed a corporate-identity package for SiVSA Entertainment, a Barcelona, Spain-based company that produces, acquires and distributes Hispanic-market programming for Europe and Latin America. The package includes a corporate print identity. The design and branding studio is based in New York.

Bob Kuperman, chairman and CEO of DDB New York, is a recipient of a 2002 Ellis Island Medal of Honor from the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations, which represents ethnic and heritage organizations in the U.S. Ted Sann, vice chairman, chief creative officer, BBDO North Amer ica, also will receive a Medal of Honor. The medals recognize the recipients' humanitarian efforts and contributions to their country. The awards will be handed out at a gala ceremony, which is slated to be held at the Great Hall on New York's Ellis Island on May 11.

Bear Brook Design in Washingtonville created a new logo for 77 WABC, a New York news- and talk-radio station. The new logo features a silhouette of the Statue of Liberty's upper half.

HSR Studios produced and mixed a national radio campaign for 7UP and Young & Rubicam in New York. The effort, "7UP Explains the Lyrics," comprises two 60-second spots that broke recently on network TV and spot markets. HSR is a New York-based audio facility that serves clients in the film, advertising, TV, radio and Internet industries, as well as corporate and industrial clients.

S3 won three awards at the Business Marketing Association of New Jersey's seventh annual Impact Awards dinner, held on March 26 in Basking Ridge. The brand-growth consultancy won two Gold Impact Awards for its work for Jaguar. S3 creates a quarterly magazine, Roar, for Jaguar's retailers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Roar was recognized in the Internal/ External Magazine and Writing—Feature Articles categories; it also garnered the Harry Noble Best of Show Award. S3, which provides advertising, marketing and communications services, has offices in Boonton and Irvine, Calif.

Turchette Advertising Agency in Fairfield created ads, signs and collateral materials promoting Atlantic Stewardship Bank's new CD accounts. The Midland Park-based bank has seven branches in Northern New Jersey.

Creative Marketing Alliance won eight Astra Awards at the New Jersey Commu nications, Advertising and Marketing Asso ciation's Astra Awards ceremony, held on March 15 in Jamesburg. The Princeton Junction-based marketing-communications company received awards in the Sales Promotion—Product Sales Presentation category for work it created for QualTeq, StatementOne and Loral Skynet. CMA was also recognized in the Collateral Material—Poster category for a self-promotional campaign, as well as in Direct Marketing—Business-to-Business for cli ent Crescent/Stonco. CMA took home an award in the Business/Trade Publications—Campaign category for its work on behalf of A-1 Limousine. The company's work for StatementOne garnered additional awards in the Public Relations and Marketing categories.

PENNSYLVANIA

Schubert Communications was tapped by Federal-Mogul's System Protection Group as its integrated marketing-communications agency. The Exton-based System Protection Group designs and manufactures sleeving products that bundle and protect wire harnesses, hoses, tubing and cables used in automotive, electrical, thermal, aerospace and other applications. The Downingtown-based business-to-business shop is charged with increasing brand awareness and educating the industrial manufacturing market about the importance of quality wire and cable protection. Schubert launched a public relations program and advertising campaign for the client this month. Southfield, Mich.-based Federal-Mogul, the client's parent com pany, is a global supplier of automotive components and subsystems.
