CONNECTICUTMoving Pictures Video & Film, Glastonbury, directed, shot and edited two commercials for Becker's Jewelry. The concept for the ads was developed by KGA Advertising, Middletown. One spot depicts a young man at a restaurant who is about to propose, and is shot from under the table, while the other shows a wife who believes her husband has forgotten their anniversary, until she looks under her seat in the car and finds a Becker's Jewelry box. Ads are airing in the Hartford area.Mason & Madison, New Haven, created a print and outdoor campaign for Emhart Fastening Teknologies, which designs fasteners for products ranging from cars to computers. The campaign targets automotive designers, engineers and design managers. The print ad recently began running in NASA Tech Briefs magazine. Emhart has been a Mason & Madison client for 15 years. MAINELambert, Coffin, Rudman & Hochman, a law firm in Portland, hired DW Group for a range of marketing services aimed at promoting the firm's growth. DW Group, also in Portland, will formulate strategic positioning for LCR&H, develop the firm's Internet presence and launch a strategic marketing communications effort. MASSACHUSETTSBenes Brand Imaging, Lexington, was selected to develop a new visual identity system and branding strategy for MobileQ, a provider of server software that allows companies to deliver information to mobile employees and customers quickly and securely. Benes will redesign MobileQ's corporate logo and develop a new tagline, advertising campaign, corporate brochures and other marketing communications materials. Donovan Group announced plans to relocate from Northborough to the Riverbend Office Park in Watertown during the first quarter of 2001. The agency also recently broke a print campaign meant to sell programmable crock pots to mothers aged 25-44 who wish to provide home-cooked meals but lack the time to prepare them. "Drive son to baseball. Drive home. Let dog out. Let dog in. Pick up daughter from soccer," read headlines in a series of small-space efforts introducing the Rival brand Smart-Pot Crock-Pot slow cooker from the Holmes Group of Milford, Mass. "You can get a lot done while dinner cooks," the ad concludes. The campaign is appearing in Cooking Light, Martha Stewart Living, Redbook and other magazines.Target Marketing & Promotions, Boston, was selected as promotional agency for the Jose Cuervo brand for the UDV Central Independent Marketing Co. The account begins for the company's fiscal year 2002, which starts July 1, 2001. This is the eighth straight year that TMP has worked on the Jose Cuervo tequila account.The KMC Group, a public relations firm in Bellevue, Wash., has partnered with Morrissey & Co., Boston, through its membership in Pinnacle Worldwide.TechMarcom, Westford, announced its Marcom Outsource service, meant to enable cash- and time-strapped technology companies to outsource project assignments to senior PR and marketing practitioners. Marcom Outsource, which provides services on a project or hourly basis, includes a network of graphic artists, tech writers, ad agencies, direct mail, market research and venture capital/investment firms.HookMedia, Boston, added Wolf Camera, @stake and NetScout Systems to its client roster.Clarke & Co., Boston, launched a business practice specializing in energy communications and public relations. The "Energy Communication Group" will focus on developing strategic communication programs for public and private energy businesses, particularly those affected by electric and gas utility restructuring issues.
