Avrett Free & Ginsberg in New York has hired Steven Block as creative director. In his new position, he will primarily spearhead the Lugz urban shoe account. His first assignment will be a new print and broadcast campaign featuring rap artist Baby. Prior to joining AFG, Block was an associate creative director at BBDO, where he worked on the Visa, Snicker's and Charles Schwab accounts. Previously, he was part of the creative team at DiMassimo Brand Advertising, working on the CNN Interactive, SunTrust Bank and Interact's Gameshark accounts.
