NEW YORK Four New York shops advanced today in the review for the ad account of Weight Watchers International, confirmed Pile and Co., the consultancy managing the search.

Omincom Group’s TBWA\Chiat\Day, Interpublic Group’s Deutsch and Lowe, and WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam moved forward. IPG’s McCann Erickson was eliminated.

Estimated billings are $45 million.

The agencies either declined comment or referred calls to the Woodbury, N.Y., client, which in turn directed calls to Pile and Co.

The four shops will be briefed next week and make final presentations in mid-November, according to sources.
