LOS ANGELES Cotton Inc. has named five finalists in the review for the creative portion of its estimated $20 million ad account, sources said.

The New York-based finalists are Omnicom Group’s DDB, Interpublic Group’s Lowe, Publicis Groupe’s Publicis and Fallon, and WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather, the 30-year incumbent that was issued an automatic berth in the review’s final round, according to sources. Not advancing were Interpublic Group’s Deutsch, WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson, Havas’ Arnold, Publicis Groupe’s Bartle Bogle Hegarty and independent Wieden + Kennedy, sources said.

Select Resources International in West Hollywood, Calif., which is leading the search, declined to comment on the finalists.

Creative presentations are expected to take place in mid-November, with a decision before Thanksgiving, sources said.
