Young & Rubicam is launching a new stand-alone unit to provide full-service brand development for dot.coms and traditional clients with Web presences.
The unit, Y&R 2.1, will be overseen by David Sable, who recently returned to Y&R after four years at a catalogue-investment firm. The top creative will be Gary Conway, an executive creative director who had joined the shop about two years ago.
The goal is to “create seamless ideas that pay off in multiple channels, and can be expanded and contracted in real time,” said Sable, unit president and CEO.
