BOSTON Sports marketing concern Woolf Associates closed its doors last week after 30 years in operation.

The Boston-based company was owned for half a decade by Ed Eskandarian, chairman and CEO of Havas’ Arnold, and its closure stems from the recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing of its largest client, Top-Flite Golf.

Woolf was launched by legendary sports agent Bob Woolf, who died in 1993. Eskandarian purchased the company from Woolf’s family three years later.

Woolf employed about 10 staffers in recent months, according to an Eskandarian representative, who offered no additional information.
