In its first major personnel move since being sold to EPB Communications, Egan/St. James has promoted Andy Schaer to senior vice president, director of account services.
Schaer, formerly group account director at the Pittsburgh agency, will be responsible for all accounts, including Zippo, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Eaton Corp.
Schaer is in his second stint at the agency, formerly known as Ketchum. He first joined the shop in 1990, departed to crosstown agency Dymun Nelson in 1993, and returned to Ketchum in 1994.
Ketchum was sold last month to New York-based EPB after three years as part of the Omnicom Group, and was renamed after its principals David Egan and Lee St.
