OAAA Reveals Finalists for OOH Awards

The Outdoor Advertising Association of America Monday (Sept. 8) revealed the 17 finalists for the 2008 Out of Home Media Plan Awards. From the finalists, one local and one national winner will be announced during an awards presentation on Thursday, Sept. 25 at the OAAA STAR Showcase at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

In its ninth year, the Out of Home Media Plan Awards honor those campaigns which effectively leverage creative strategies and the out-of-home medium in an innovative way. A team of five judges reviewed the submissions: Steve Mueller, CEO of OSI, a division of the Interpublic Group who served as chief judge; Tony Aguilar-Arellano, director, Media Services, Acento; Heather Armstrong, managing director, Posterscope-Dallas, Posterscope USA; Susanne Brockman, senior vice president, Media Director, Wyse Advertising; and Jean-Luc Decaux, co-CEO, JCDecaux North America.

The awards ceremony will be emceed by Michael Burgi, editor in chief and associate publisher of Mediaweek, the sponsor of this year's OAAA Star Showcase.
