Marketing Arm Installs Jastrem as President

DALLAS John F. Jastrem has been named the first president of The Marketing Arm, the agency said.

Prior to joining the Omnicom shop here on May 17, Jastrem served as chairman and CEO of Rapp Collins in Dallas for six years.

In his new role, Jastrem will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the agency’s Dallas headquarters and its four regional offices in New York, Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles. In addition, he is charged with overseeing U.S. Marketing & Promotions, a Torrance, Calif., shop that operates as The Marketing Arm’s events division.

“The Marketing Arm is full of bright, energized team members focused on delivering the most innovative marketing and sales solutions to its clients,” Jastrem said. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the company’s success.”

The Marketing Arm’s four business units consist of events, promotions, talent buying, and sponsorship consulting and activation. The agency’s list of clients includes SBC, Wal-Mart, Procter & Gamble, Gillette, Home Depot and Office Depot.
