CLEVELAND The Step2 Co. in Streetsboro, Ohio, has hired Marcus Thomas here as its lead agency following a review.

The shop will handle branding, research, creative and media supporting the client’s line of large-scale, high-end children’s toys. The company’s catalog includes kitchens, playhouses, swing sets and sandboxes, as well as gardening, landscaping and home products.

“Unlike so much in our world that is pre-programmed these days, Step2 designs its children’s products to facilitate open-ended creativity. We believe the company’s approach to marketing reflects that same ‘no limits’ thinking,” said agency partner Mark Bachmann.
