DALLAS The Ward Group has picked up advertising duties for the entertainment facility Gilley's, the shop said.

The Dallas agency was awarded the local account without a review, according to shop president Rob Enright. Opened in October 2003, the 91,000-square-foot Dallas site was previously handled by local Gonza Media before ad services moved in-house. Enright said the Ward Group was brought on shortly after Gilley's ad department was dissolved in February.

The agency will be handling all advertising needs, including media, creative and promotions. The shop will also act as the client's marketing department to assist with sponsorship opportunities and partner programs.

The Ward Group will continue to implement Gilley's current radio and newspaper campaign. Enright said the agency hopes to introduce new concepts by May.

Located south of the Dallas Convention Center, Gilley's incorporates a showroom with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and video capabilities, meeting rooms and a 10,000-square-foot dance floor.

Annual billings are undisclosed.
