Chrysler Corp. confirmed last week that it is in the midst of a 90-day review of its African-American advertising assignment now at Lockhart & Pettus/ New York. Account billings were undisclosed. Bud Liebler, newly appointed vice president of marketing and communications at Chrysler, said he had not yet begun soliciting other agencies, and that the review of Lockhart is being done for undisclosed “business reasons.” One agency executive working for Chrysler said the company has talked internally of putting additional resources into minority advertising, an area that some in the company feel is underserved.
