Young & Rubicam has won global ad responsibilities to promote Surfnotes’ Web information retrieval technology.
The Israeli company’s technology automatically extracts Web page highlights and delivers them to users who are accessing the Internet through handheld devices such as pagers and cellular phones.
“I love to get my hands on something that is totally revolutionary,” said Y&R Chicago president Howard Breen. “When you see this stuff in action, your mouth literally drops.”
The client, which plans to open a North American office and launch its patent-pending technology here later this year, tapped Y&R as its full- service agency without a review.
