Viewpoint Gets Physical in ESPN Bowling Promos

BOSTON Viewpoint Creative mixes bowling with physics in promotional spots touting weekly Pro Bowlers Association coverage on cable network ESPN.

Spots show scenes from the tour, enhanced by animated effects that include scientific computations and diagrams gliding across the lanes. The effort broke last week and is slated to run through May 2004.

The goal was to illustrate how pro bowlers “bend the laws of physics” to make precision shots under intense tournament pressure, according to a representative of the Boston-based independent agency. Spending was not disclosed.

Joseph Kiely served as creative director; Adrienne Gum was the producer; and Matt Naboshek handled design chores.
