True Agency Follows Nissan to Nashville

NEW YORK The True Agency said it has opened an outpost in Nashville, Tenn.

The shop, which specializes in general market, transcultural, black and Latino campaigns, already had offices here and in Los Angeles.

Establishing a beachhead in Tennessee comes amid the relocation of one of True’s key clients, Nissan North America, to Nashville. True also cited advertising opportunities in the South as motivating the move.

“We see Nashville as a natural extension of our national growth strategy,” said shop CEO and co-founder Richard Wayner. “The South is one of the fastest-growing regions of the country, and we hope to be working with new clients in the region in the near future.”

To staff the Nashville office, True has hired Robert FitzPatrick, who will serve as account director, responsible for the day-to-day account management and coordination of Nissan, in addition to new business outreach across the Southeast region.

FitzPatrick has 20 years of industry experience, having worked on Chevrolet at Campbell-Ewald in Warren, Mich. He has also held posts at Templar Communications, Bozell/FCB and Tombras Advertising.

In addition to working on the Nissan and Infiniti nameplates, other True clients include the AARP, Countrywide, Hilton Hotels, Martell and Target Stores. The agency was launched four years ago.
