T3 Wins Travis Boat Superstores

T3 has won the $3 million account of Travis Boating Superstores, the largest recreational boat retailer in America.
T3 in Austin, Texas, competed against four undisclosed local shops to become agency of record for the $131 million parent company, Travis Boat & Motors. The client is also located in Austin.
“We were looking for a bold marketing leader,” said John Randolph, Travis vice president of marketing and sales, in a statement.
“During the conversations that preceded our awarding the account, T3 demonstrated a deep understanding of what it takes to build brands, and develop real, meaningful, enduring and profitable relationships with customers,” he said.
Travis, founded in 1979 as a single retail site, is now a 38-unit chain of superstores with locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
The stores sell recreational boats, motors, trailers and marine accessories. In addition, the company offers financing, insurance and repair services.
“T3 has a track record of strong retailing experience, and we will leverage this to roll out a new marketing plan in 2000 that will coincide with the upcoming boating season,” said Gay Warren Gaddis, president of T3, in a statement. “We are so pleased to win this account . . . They are uncommonly focused on a positive experience before and after each sale.”
Travis joins United Supermarkets and Rx.com as new clients won by T3 in recent months. K
