Prime, a superhero with the mind of a 13-year-old, may be sitting on a bus bench near you soon. No need to fret. Prime will be painted on some 1,250 bus benches across the country as part of Malibu Comics’ ambitious ad blitz to introduce Ultraverse, a new comic book line. This marks the first time a comic book publisher has used a national ad blitz to launch a line. The media deluge includes two ads that will run on cable and spot television, the outdoor and transit, plus a radio promotion. ‘We think our story lines are good enough that people outside the comic trade are going to care,’ said Malibu Comics president Scott Rosenberg.
