Sullivan Hires Creative Director

Aiming to reposition her graphic design firm as a full-service ad agency, Sullivan Creative president Pam Sullivan has named Bob Cargill vice president and creative director.
Cargill, who for the past four years served as associate creative director at CPS Direct in Woburn, Mass., said the chance to make a big difference at a smaller firm appealed to him. “I’ve known Pam for years, and she made me an offer I couldn’t turn down,” he said. “My goal is to take the business to the next level.”
“The idea now is to make some noise,” said Sullivan. “Together, we think we can attract some attention.”
CPS representative Todd Bairstow characterized Cargill’s departure as “amicable,” adding that the company has not yet decided whether to replace him. “Bob’s a great guy, and we wish him the best,” Bairstow said.
Bringing Cargill aboard will allow Sullivan to concentrate on building her company’s Web site design arm, launched earlier this month. The new entity, called websites2go, targets small and midsized businesses for which the cost of designing a site would be prohibitive.
“Smaller companies would come to us, and the pricing would be too high,” Sullivan said. “We kept on turning away business, which forced us to wonder how could we do this and still be affordable?”
The Web unit allows companies to design their own site directly from its site (www.websites2go.com) by answering questions and filling out an order form.
The agency also has created sites for Learningsmith, TreeAge Software and the New Hampshire Humane Society, among others.
