Steinberg Joins McKinney

NEW YORK Award-winning art director Ellen Steinberg has joined McKinney + Silver in Durham, N.C., as group creative director on the agency’s Sony Electronics business.

Steinberg, who most recently was working as a freelancer, was previously a creative director at Fallon in New York and Minneapolis, where she worked on BMW, Jim Beam, Lee Jeans and Conseco, among other accounts.

“Over the years, Ellen’s work has made me the good kind of jealous,” said David Baldwin, executive creative director at McKinney, in a statement. “She is quite simply a brilliant creative person and gifted art director whose leadership will inspire our entire Sony team.”

In addition to Fallon, Steinberg’s agency experience includes tenures at Wieden + Kennedy, BBDO, Cliff Freeman and Partners and Lowe. She began her career as an art director at Korey Kay & Partners in New York, then went on to Weiss Whitten Carroll Stagliano in New York and eventually to Fallon McElligott in Minneapolis.

Her work has been honored by The One Show, International Advertising Festival at Cannes, D&AD and the Kelly Awards, among others.
