CHICAGO — Former D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles chairman and CEO Arthur Selkowitz, who was given a vice chairman’s job at Bcom3 two years ago, will retire at the end of the year.

Selkowitz, 59, left D’Arcy for its parent Bcom3, where he is also chief client officer at Chicago-based Bcom3, in October 2000.

Publicis Groupe’s $3 billion acquisition of Bcom3 is expected to be completed early next week.

Selkowitz joined Benton & Bowles in 1971 and worked there until 1983, when he left to start his own agency.
