Saucony Engages Warner for PR

BOSTON Warner Communica-
tions said it has added several public relations accounts in recent weeks, including athletic footwear and apparel company Saucony.

Saucony in Peabody, Mass., first engaged the independent agency in the spring for projects focused on the stories of real-life runners to build brand buzz during the Boston, Chicago and New York marathons.

Warner has since been named Saucony’s lead PR shop and will provide product publicity and guide media tours for spring 2005 products. There was no incumbent on the business, which was assigned without a review, the agency said.

Warner will also handle PR for IT consulting and products company Advanced Technology Services of Peoria, Ill. The assignment includes market research, brand positioning and a “Breakfast Briefing” series.

Finally, herbal skincare products concern Farmaesthetics of Portsmouth, R.I., has engaged Warner for positioning and media relations.

Combined fees on the three accounts are in the six-figure range, the agency said.
