Ripe, Joost Team Up for Content

NEW YORK Ripe Digital Entertainment has partnered with Joost to distribute content from three of its networks: RipeTV, OctaneTV and FlowTV.

Ryan Magnussen, Ripe CEO, said the move would significantly broaden his company’s reach in the online community. “With short form, professionally produced programming in three key yet distinct categories, [our] shows are perfectly suited for Joost’s innovative service,” he said.

Programs on the RipeTV channel will include “Picking Miss Right,” “Stuff 4 Dudes” and “Ed the Sock.” OctaneTV’s lineup features “Hot Import Nights,” “Sexy Road Test” and “Fuel Girl.” FlowTV offers “Flow Live,” “FLOWlicious,” “Smack” and “VIP Lounge.”

Joost’s Yvette Alberdingk Thijm, evp of content strategy and acquisition, said, “RDE’s programming is perfectly aligned with Joost’s core offering.”

Ripe aggregates and presents original short-form video programming targeted at young adult audiences for distribution over cable, broadband and wireless platforms.
